There are generally three types of FPC coating films. One is the pressure coating film, which is a widely used process that requires cutting, graphic punching, pre bonding, and hot pressing. However, the tolerance limit for graphics is relatively large, with a maximum of 0.2 millimeters;

Another type is printing flexible ink, which is less used and has a long process, requiring printing, baking, exposure, development, and post curing. Currently, it is mainly used in situations with low requirements for graphic tolerances, up to 0.05 millimeters;

Another method is to use a covering film that can be exposed and developed. This is a brand new process that has the advantages of covering film and ink. The process involves lamination, exposure, development, and baking, similar to the dry film process. However, currently only Sunchemical and DuPont have products for sale, and there are not many people using them in the market.
